MOZAİK (MOSAIC) WORKSHOP FOR 5 DAYS DETAILED PROGRAM

DURATION OF CLASS: 18 HOURS
FIRST DAY (MONDAY)
Arrive to Zeynep Sultan Hotel in the morning.
Welcome Coffee. Give some information about program
Free time for 1 hour. ( to hotel accomodation or have a rest etc. )
1.00 pm- Go to Sultanahmet Köftecisi to have lunch.
2.00 pm- Trip to Miniatürk with ship.
6.00 pm- Return to the Hotel.
SECOND DAY (TUESDAY)
9.00 am- Breakfast at the Hotel.
11.00 am- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.
- Give some information history of mosaic, techniques and how to make mozaic.
2.00 pm- Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi
3.00 pm- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.
- Start practice how to break rocks with marbles.
6.00pm- Return to the Hotel.
THIRD DAY (WEDNESDAY)
9.00 am- Breakfast at the Hotel.
11.00 am- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.
- Design a motif for your object.
2.00 pm- Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi
3.00 pm- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.
- Keep going on make the object.
6.00pm- Return to the Hotel.
FOURTH DAY (THURSDAY)
9.00am- Breakfast at the Hotel
10.00am- Trip to Hagia Sophia Museum
1.00pm- Lunch time at Caferaga Medresesi
2.00pm Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 4 hours.
- Complete motif put on the object and make with mosaic.
6.00pm Return to the Hotel
FIFTH DAY (FRIDAY)
9.00am- Breakfast at the Hotel
10.00am- Trip to Mosaic Museum and Kariye Museum
1.30pm- Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi
2.30pm- Trip to Topkapi Palace Museum
4.00pm- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 2 hours.
- Keep going on making object with mosaic then mosaic object is finished.
6.00pm- Return to the Hotel
7.30pm-Going to Good Bye Dinner and give deed of adherence there.
CAFERAGA MEDRESSEH
Caferaga Medresseh was built in 1559 by Mimar Sinan.The Medresseh, listed within the group of independent medressehs and having had a number ofrestoration up until today, was changed by Turkish Cultural Service Foundation, in to a touristic centre with 15 clasrooms/ exhibition rooms, a big salon and a peaceful garden where Traditional Turkish Handcraft are taught, made and sold.
Today, Caferaga Medresseh has taken, it’s place with in the cultural mosaic of İstanbul as a living historical place.
