EBRU (MARBLING) WORKSHOP FOR 5 DAYS DETAILED PROGRAM

DURATİON OF CLASS: 18 HOURS

FIRST DAY (MONDAY)

Arrive to Zeynep Sultan Hotel in the morning.

Welcome Coffee. Give some information about program

Free time for 1 hour. ( to hotel accomodation or have a rest etc. )

1.00 pm- Go to Sultanahmet Köftecisi to have lunch.

2.00 pm- Trip to Miniatürk with ship.

6.00 pm- Return to the Hotel.

SECOND DAY (TUESDAY)

9.00 am- Breakfast at the Hotel.

10.00 am- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 4 hours.

  - Give a little information history of ebru. Make colours and brushes.        

2.00 pm-  Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi

3.00 pm- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.

  - Start making ebru with Battal (Turkish Stone Marbling)

6.00pm- Return to the Hotel.

THIRD DAY (WEDNESDAY)

9.00 am- Breakfast at the Hotel.

10.00 am- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 4 hours.

  - Make background (Gelgit (come and go), Şal (shawl), Tarak (comb), Bülbül Yuvası (nighingle's nest)                                                                                   

2.00 pm-  Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi

3.00 pm- Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 3 hours.

  - Make kind of Hatip (Orator) Ebru

6.00pm- Return to the Hotel

FOURTH DAY (THURSDAY)

9.00am- Breakfast at the Hotel

10.00am- Trip to Topkapi Palace

12.00pm- Trip to Hagia Sophia Museum

2.00pm- Lunch time at Caferaga Medresesi

3.00pm Class at Caferaga Medresesi for 4 hours.

  - Make Lale (Tulip) Ebru

7.00pm Return to the Hotel

FIFTH DAY (FRIDAY)

9.00am- Breakfast at the Hotel

10.00am- Trip a Marbiling Exibition

1.00pm- Lunch time at Caferağa Medresesi

2.00pm- Trip to Ebristan which is studio of great marbling artist Hikmet Barutçugil.

6.00pm- Return to the Hotel.

7.30pm-Going to  Good Bye dinner and give deed of adherence there.

CAFERAGA MEDRESSEH

Caferaga Medresseh was built in 1559 by Mimar Sinan.The Medresseh, listed within the group of independent medressehs and having had a number of  restoration up until today, was changed by Turkish Cultural Service Foundation, in to a touristic centre with 15 clasrooms/ exhibition rooms, a big salon and a peaceful garden where Traditional Turkish Handcraft are taught, made and sold.

Today, Caferaga Medresseh has taken, it’s place with in the cultural mosaic of İstanbul as a living historical place.
